Margarita Vasilakou was born in Sparta, Laconia in 1966. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under P. Tetsis and N. Kessanlis and engraving under Th. Exarchopoulos. She has collaborated with publishing houses and is a permanent contributor to Neo Epipedo and Technopaignion magazines. She has presented her visual work in individual exhibitions in Greece and has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She has collaborated in the context of illustrations with well-known publishing houses and literary magazines. Her works are in private collections in Greece. Since 1999, she has been working in Secondary Education. Today she lives and creates in Athens.
